Here's what I did wrong: in the registration process for Gamefly I must have mis-typed my phone number. I wasn't asked to enter the number twice like the email address and password verification system so I wasn't "extra" careful with that bit of information. After going through the email verification system I realized that they planned to give me a call as standard procedure to additionally verify my purchase. OK weird..I've never had that as part of my online shopping experience so I go back into my account details to attempt to verify and correct my errant phone number. Guess what? You can't see or modify that part of your account!

It gets better! So the 24hour phone verification limit goes by, Gamfly support ignores my request for help in the matter and my purchase is canceled. I write them a complaining email and am of course further ignored.

I threatened to never use them again but I'm a sap and see a good deal. I attempt to log into my account and am notified that the account is suspended. I attempt to create another account using another email and am told that my paypal account is still being registered with another account.

I am now just hoping to get within spitting distance of the overly cautious fool who thought that this degree of security was a good idea to implement. Good Job Gamfly security! You're really showing the bigdogs how it should be!
