I signed up for an account (which included divulging my credit card number) and selected the games that I was interested in renting. After receiving 2 confirmation emails, I thought everything was done.

I never received the games ordered, which prompted me to check my account. It turned out my account had been canceled. I received no communication as to why.

I had to do an internet search to find your customer service number, only to be belittled by 2 Gamefly representatives when asked why after submitting payment information (which verified my identity) they still needed a letter from my realtor showing I bought this house over 3 years ago.

Because of this I have actively suggested people use an alternative method of getting their entertainment needs met. There is no reason to pay to be insulted.
